With our target audience being young children aged 6-11 I thought it would be a good starting point to look at the CBeebies website, which is also aimmed at young children. Whilst on the website I paid particular intention to the layout, colours used and the way information was presented to the user.
I found on the CBeebies websites a page relating to 'being green'. We can refer back to this and look how the information is deliver to the audience.

Logo Ideas
I noticed that on the guide.org.uk websites there was the use of logos. In the section on recycling a cola can was used as the logo and in the electricity section it was a lightbulb. What's interesting is that both these objects are given facial features. I quite like the logo of the lightbulb and thought that we could maybe useit as a direct influence on our logo.

Informative Websites
Whilst researching on the topic of 'being green' I came across two very useful websites. Both these websites have a lot of information about recycling and fun facts which we could incoroprate them in our e-learning. On the recycling-guide web page you can also find separte links which lead to other topic areas: water, gas and electricity. The electricity one would be of particular interest to us as we have a section focusing on electricity.
Here are the links to these websites:

Final Idea: 'Being Green'
After meeting up, we have decided to create a campaign/E-learning project on 'Being Green'.
Our target audience is young children aged 6-11 years old.
The purpose of this project will be to educate children the importance of being green, teach them the consequences of not being green and finally test their knowledge through some kind of interactivity.
We aim to make this E-learning project interative as possible and make it highly appealing through lots of colours and animations.

Lie's Idea
Possible topics for our E-learning project:
- Travel Guide - create a travel guide for our chosen destination with all the must see locations and activities.
- Hygiene - teach children about the importance of personal hygiene.
- Magic - teach viewers how to perform well known magic tricks.
- Solar System
- Personal Safety
Shamama: I think recycling is a good idea. It's a topic which is much talked about in today's society with the growing concerns about our environment and global warming. As a result, we often hear about the importance of "being green".

Choosing the 'Full Learning Resource' category
From reading the project guidlines...We have decided to create an E-learning project which falls into the 'Full Learning Resource' category.
'This comprises of a piece of information or learning, an exercise or task and a form of self-assessment'.
We felt this category was an appealing format, which would use our Flash skills in a positive way. By using this format, we could make it interactive in a number of ways. i.e- Make a quiz to test the user's knowledge or create a simple interactive game.

Final decision: E-learning!
After discussing the three different options for the multimedia project (Intertextual Narrative, Mashups or E-learning), as a group we have decided to create an E-Learning Project.
We felt this type of project would be quite interesting to create, in which we could use our varied skills to make a successful prototype.
We have been discussing potential ideas but we have yet to decide on a final concept.
